The successful organization and development of the District IV Football Coaches Association in 1991 by a group of dedicated head football coaches, lead to the formation of the highly successful D4 College Combine. Over the years, numerous coaches within our association, have distinguished themselves amongst football coaches throughout the state of Pennsylvania. These individuals we honored and recognized by being inducted into the Pennsylvania Scholastic Football Coaches Association's (PSFCA) Hall of Fame.
In 2023, The District IV Football Coaches Association decided to honor our own coaches that have shown leadership and set a positive example on the field of play with District IV. The inaugural class was selected by the membership and consisted of eight inductees that covered a span of over seventy years of coaching experience, collectively. Since that time, a formal committee was formed to collect and compile a listing of those coaches nominated by the athletic directors from each high school football program within the district. Nominations were also accepted by our membership, past and present, and will continue to be added to the list when received. Those nominations are then evaluated by the HOF committed members, presented to the membership, and voted on for induction each year. In 2024, the placing of an assistant coach, who has served faithfully his school district's football program over many years, into the HOF was approved under the same guidelines.
Each class is inducted into the District IV Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame annually during halftime of the District IV Football Coaches All-Star Game held in June.
Please visit the District IV HOF's new home which is located in the Liberty Arena, Williamsport, Pa. This wall was created to keep the memories of all those football coaches who have given their best to promote the great game of football with in District IV and the state of Pennsylvania. More so, their dedication to help in the development of so many young athletes involved in playing the great game of football.
